WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

A Wilmington chef advances to the finals of NBC's competition series American Ninja Warrior after completing the challenging course in Monday's episode.

Solomon Harvey had to go through obstacles like the dancing stones - which are hard to maneuver - and the 50 foot vertical spider climb.

After slamming his hand on the buzzer and taking a moment to catch his breath, Harvy said, "This was absolutely amazing. Oh my God, that is not as easy as it looks on TV. I thought I was gonna die going up that last obstacle. But, I have too many people back home who believe in me to where I couldn't keep up. I had to keep going."

Solomon Harvey finished fourth out of 32 competitors in the semi-finals round in Miami and will advance to the finals in Las Vegas to compete for $50,000.

The finals will air August 11 on NBC.
