Onslow County working to stop spread of mosquitoes

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Officials in the east want you to help stop the spread of mosquitoes this summer.

After recent heavy rain, Onslow County Environmental Services is offering some tips. They say you should try to remove water that accumulates in items in your yard. They say mosquitoes can breed in as little as a teaspoon of water.

Officials also say that folks in Onslow County can call environmental services if they have a mosquito problem.

Crews will come take a look at your property for free.
